Innovation Academy
The European Youth Ministry Network in partnership with Exodus, N. Ireland organised their first Innovation Academy, hosted at the Exodus Center in Romania. The event gathered 19 participants from 5 European countries: Romania, N. Ireland, Belgium, Poland and Germany. This was a rich and creative time were we sought together to explore and develop innovative approaches and learning experiences which help youth (and all ages) grow closer to God and others in our communities and more confident in our walk as disciples of Jesus and disciple makers. One of the highlights for many was the time we spent with a Romanian Shepherd and his sheep, hearing his heart for them, seeing him at work, leading them out and then sleeping out on the mountainside. Some of the experiences and things shared included:
  • Innovation in Youth Ministry
  • Step Out… Step In (Meeting with God in nature)
  • The Shepherd Experience
  • A Community Festival
  • A Hospitality Experience
  • Fruitfulness: Learning from the Vine
  • The Everyday Disciplemaker
  • Five loaves and two fish: multiplication
This was teamYAalso a great opportunity for Harry, Evi and Jim of the EYMN steering committee to serve together and share more of the heart and passion God has given them for youth. A small team will further build on this event to produce a training resource to be shared with churches and youth ministries in Europe and beyond.
