Equip conference

EEA is delighted with the success of the European Freedom Network’s Equip event, 18-22 November 2013 in Cyprus. EFN, a strategic network of EEA, unites Christian ministries working in the fields of human trafficking and sexual exploitation ministry and now has 130 projects in membership.  Over 90 partners came to Limassol for a week of prayer, encouragement, connecting and equipping on strategic topics that had been identified as priorities for partners. Outcomes from the week include, established aftercare ministries nurturing those that are getting started, a plan to mark EU’s Anti-Trafficking Day (18th October) with public campaigning, new plans for collaborative research, a strong prayer strategy and pioneering advocacy. There was a strong desire among all partners to work together because we know we need each other if there is to be an effective bridge to freedom for those who are exploited.  National networks were strengthened and created. We were delighted to hear that the Cypriot Freedom Network will have its first national meeting in November. One participant wrote “Great conference, team EFN! Thanks for all your hard work to make it happen! I am leaving more equipped and encouraged in the battle and with deeper connections to the other great ministries around Europe.” We thank God for all that was achieved in Cyprus and trust Him for the next steps.
