The General Assembly of the European Evangelical Alliance is a place to connect and to be equipped. It is a platform where general secretaries, affiliate members and chairs of Hope for Europe networks bond, connect, create synergy of how to support one another and profit from each other.
Bible study, thematic lectures, fellowship, sharing from the regions, connecting with EEA and its partners and staff will be in line with the theme ‘Deeply Rooted’.
Deeply Rooted
Current times have been described as a “polycrisis”, where we all feel affected by multiple challenges on several fronts. Surrounded like this, we can feel shaken and uprooted. But Good News people are deeply rooted people, “like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17.8). What does it mean to have deep roots in the Kingdom of God?
While the time may be of crisis, our calling is to be “like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.” (Psalm 1.3) This tree knows the Word, knows the Lord, knows the Church, knows the world… and loves them all deeply. We are not called to sit this storm out, and together want to think of what it means to have deep kingdom roots, knowing that the deeper the roots, the sweeter the fruit.
