12 October 2018 Tallinn, Estonia With an address concerning “Church Boundaries” the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) concluded the third Hope for Europe Conference in Tallinn, Estonia. Dr. Johannes Reimer of the World Evangelical Alliance challenged the participants to look beyond growing and established boundaries in the political, cultural and evangelical sphere, living up to the calling and example of Jesus Christ.   During the four day conference, 370 participants from 37 European countries worked through various aspects of what it means to live in unity in diversity. Different tracks demonstrated the richness of diversity in the body of Christ, while at the same time challenging all participants with the question: how can evangelical alliances and focused ministry networks work together to bring hope to Europe? Following the final plenary session, participants went to the old city of Tallinn to be part of a “Night of hope” festival, where different Estonian Christian music groups and creative artists shared the good news of Jesus Christ in different cafés, churches and in the main square. Looking back on the event, Rev. Dr. Frank Hinkelmann, president of European Evangelical Alliance concluded: “Many participants left the conference enriched by the depth of gifting and calling within the body of Christ that are united in vision and purpose. The challenge remains to implement, on a national and European level, what has been learnt and experienced in Tallinn”.
