The Evangelical Alliance Week of Prayer is an old but golden tradition. Going back to the year after the launch of the Evangelical Alliance in 1846, it was one of the agreed initiatives that came out of that founding conference and has since been celebrated every year across Europe.  

In 2025, the Week of Prayer will take place from 12 to 19 January under the main theme ‘Contend for the faith’. Thankfully, the Italian Evangelical Alliance has once again produced the material for the Week of Prayer, which is now available on the EEA website. In addition to some recommendations for hosting a prayer meeting during the Week of Prayer, devotions, as well as thanksgiving, confession and request prayers are offered for each individual day of the week. 

National Evangelical Alliances are encouraged to translate this material into their national language(s) and share translations with the EEA office so that they can also be published on the EEA website. In addition to the publication in classic form, modern Bible reading plans in several languages are planned again – as in previous years – in collaboration with YouVersion.
