The Field Leader profile for OM Portugal is as follows.

• Able to develop and implement a vision for the field (according to OM’s core values).

• Understanding of OM locally and internationally (or willingness to learn).

• Good networker (within OM international).

• Be able to relate to other leaders recognizing that Portugal is a country with a small and very diverse evangelical community.

• Public speaking skills (preaching, PR to promote OM).

• Team player.

• Experience in alliance and working with different types of personalities and nationalities.

• Willingness to work with a small team.

• Able to communicate in Portuguese and English (or willingness to learn).

• Basic understanding of finances and budgets (administrative gifts are beneficial).

• Able to raise funds for ministry projects.

• Learning attitude towards the challenges of leadership.

Portugal is a small country of 10 million people, and full of opportunities. The number of Protestants has at least doubled in the last ten years, due to the migration movement not only of Brazilians and Latin Americans, but also of many ethnic minorities who have been welcomed in some form in Portugal. There are places that illustrate this well: Fundão, a small town in the interior of Portugal, bordering Spain, currently has 26,000 inhabitants, coming from more than 70 countries. We believe that OM, due to its missionary experience, has a relevant space to work in the Portuguese Church to inspire and enable the mission among the least reached that Jesus has entrusted to us.

• The search committee, as they lead the process and consider nominations.

• That God will make it clear who is the next person to take on this role in Portugal.
