Rome (AEI), February 2, 2026 – The meeting of the Board of the European Evangelical Alliance, of which Lucia Stelluti (Vice President of the Italian Evangelical Alliance, AEI) has been a member for some time, was held in Romania at the Reformed Center “Noul Mileniu”.
The EEA exists to promote evangelical unity and identity and to provide a voice and platform for evangelical Christians in Europe. The EEA brings together both European national Evangelical Alliances and many para-church agencies operating in Europe. Its roots date back to the 1846 conference at which the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) was founded.
From January 26 to 28, the EEA board, composed of representatives from different regions of the continent, met in person in Timisoara. Together with the General Secretaries (Connie Main Duarte and Jan Wessels), who reported on their work, and led by President Andreas Wenzel, they worked on the development of a number of initiatives to promote unity within the European evangelical world and to offer help, encouragement, and support for the witness of the Gospel in every area of our continent.

The AEI, like other NEA and affiliates, can certainly pray that the Lord will provide everything needed to carry out this work with wisdom and discernment to maintain a high level of evangelical integrity in every aspect of it.
We had the privilege of meeting with brothers from the Romanian Evangelical Alliance, who shared with us the challenges and blessings that God is giving them. The network brings together the Baptist Christian Church, the Brethren Church, and the Pentecostal Christian Church, which for more than 20 years have been running Radio Vocea Evanghelei, which covers almost the entire Romanian territory 24/7, and the training school for radio communication. The work is completely supported by local churches belonging to the Romanian Alliance. It was a joy to be hosted at their headquarters for the last day of work and to meet the director of the Timisoara branch, Cristina Olariu. It is an alliance project for the advancement of the Gospel with a significant impact, for which we were able to praise God and encourage with prayer.
Work is also underway to finalize the program for “HOPE for Europe 2026”, which will be held, God willing, in Golem, Albania, from October 5th to 9th. In addition to all the national alliances and EEA affiliates, all those who want to get to know the European Evangelical Alliance more closely are invited. The chosen theme is Steadfast Hope in Uncertain Times. It will be a time to meet, reflect, and work together, guided by the Word of God and His Holy Spirit, to create new and solid collaborations. Please pray for the organizing team, the staff, and for many to participate, moved by the desire to serve God’s people and the cause of the Gospel in Europe with the gifts He has given us.
