EEA prayer request for Donbas
EEA prayer request for Donbas, the regions of Luhansk and Donetsk of Ukraine All Evangelical Churches in Luhansk, Eastern Ukraine have been forced to stop public worship in their church buildings. Officials of the unrecognised Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR)  have threatened many pastors of Evangelical Churches with big fines if they do not obey their decrees. It began two years ago when officials of the LPR decided to demand re-registration of all religious organizations. After all evangelical churches submitted new applications for re-registration, the LPR government officials rejected all the applications. In January 2019, evangelical churches submitted new re-registration applications but the situation remained the same and became even worse than it. Due to the lack of registration, many local church buildings were disconnected from heating and power supply during this winter period. The situation is similar in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Local believers have lost all hope and fervently ask all Evangelical Christians of the international community to support them in prayer that the Lord will protect them from all evil and give them wisdom to know how to work in such difficult circumstances. The European Evangelical Alliance, therefore, asks you to pray for our dear brothers and sisters in the Lord in the Luhansk and Donetsk unrecognized people’s republics of Ukraine.
