EEA Children’s Ministry

The 4/14 Window Toward Best PracticesConference in New York in October saw over a eleven hundred delegates gather to explore fruitful models of children’s and youth ministry from around the globe. During the conference the delegates discovered examples from the host Promise Church such as Powerhouse Kids www.powerhousekids.org and many others from the different regions of the world. Check out the revised website www.4to14window.com for new resources and videos in multiple languages and visit the www.illuminateideas.org site to discover exciting new ministry models.

The new website from our Global Children’s Forum Family Project Work Team with the Country Conversation Packs is now online www.letstalkfamily.org. English, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Bulgarian versions of the Pack can be downloaded with more language versions in translation. Australia had their conversation in May and Uganda, Zimbabwe & Kenya have had similar conversations in November. Following a presentation at the EEA General Assembly  several European countries in addition to the UK plan to pilota a « Let’s Talk Family » Country Conversation in 2015.

These conversations relate to children, youth and family and we also want to build on what flows from the WEA hosted Global Youth Summit which took place at the beginning of December in Turkey. It is recommended to your national partners in children’s, youth and family ministry to join the Reaching Europe’s Children Facebook Group. Anyone who registers will receive weekly emails with a wide range of helpful weblinks to resources and key articles.
