Hannelore Illgen from Germany gave a warm welcome to the 50 participants of the women’s conference in the name of the Hope for Europe – Women in Leadership team, which is leading a network within the European Evangelical Alliance.

She shared her observation that more than 50 years ago all over the world the Holy Spirit initiated an awakening among christian women by recognizing their value, importance and mission in this world. She had been part of several women’s initiatives, on the national level, in Europe as well as internationally, for around 40 years and she named the numerous women’s ministries a fruit of this awakening. —————————————————————————— In a short personal testimony, Hannelore shared which impact Psalm 139 has had on her life and that it was foundational for her ministry. She encouraged the women to hear God’s voice during the conference for their individual calling after reading Psalm 68,11: „The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng.“ She encouraged the participants: “I believe, this scripture says, that God is calling especially women to share the Gospel with those who do not know Jesus.“
