The Institute for the Study of Freedom of Religion or Belief (ISFORB) invites all readers of the EEA newsletter to its next online open seminar. It will take place on Monday, June 22 at 15.00 (CET) and last 1 hour sharp.
This time ISFORB will feature a recent and relevant academic publication: “Why Religious Freedom Matters: Human Rights and Human Flourishing” by prof. em. Allen D. Hetzke. The discussion will be led by the author himself.
Allen D. Hertzke is David Ross Boyd Professor Emeritus of political science at the University of Oklahoma. He is author, co-author, or editor of eleven books, including Freeing God’s Children, The Future of Religious Freedom, and most recently Why Religious Freedom Matters: Human Rights and Human Flourishing. He served a ten-year term on the prestigious Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences at the Vatican.
The flow of the meeting will be as follows: after a short introduction, the speaker will present the topic in 20-25 min. The remaining time will be for discussion and questions.
