In Ireland, the 33rd Dáil Éireann 2020 elections will take place today, on 8 February 2020. 159 of the 160 members of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the Republic of Ireland will be elected.

In a statement on 3 February, Nick said: „In one week’s time we have a General Election here in Ireland. Please do pray carefully about how you will cast your vote. If you are in Christian leadership then please encourage others to vote prayerfully and in ways that are consistent with their Christian convictions. It would be wonderful if churches could take some time this week to pray about the election.“
