The EEA proudly presents its new Affiliate Member, the Evangelical Alliance of Arabic Speakers in Europe (EAAS-Europe). Within the framework of the EEA members meeting on 13 June 2019 at the General Assembly, the National Evangelical Alliances and other Affiliate Members voted unanimously for the accession of the association into the European Evangelical Alliance.
EAAS-Europe was founded on 14 February 2009 and operates in Bonn/Germany since 2012. Inspired by the prayer of Jesus in John 17:11: “that they may be one”, several church leaders put the vision of building a network that connects Arabic churches and Arabic evangelical ministries across Europe into practice. EAAS-Europe does not engage in political issues, but rather aims to unite and give the different ministries a united voice. Furthermore, it intends to encourage and support churches and church planting through finances, outreach and conferences for church leaders, staff and members. The association is also very active in the work with refugees and missions and strives for a greater visibility of its members through its online ministry and the publication of member newsletters.
Today, EAAS-Europe consists of 116 members from 11 European countries, including Germany, France, England, Finland and the Netherlands. Its members are churches, small groups, evangelical ministries and pastors, conducting ministries among Arabic speaking people in Europe.
-President of the association is Elia Daoud, who has been living with his family in Germany for 19 years.
We look forward to good cooperation with EAAS-Europe and are excited to see what God is doing with this collaboration!
