Migration has been a hot political topic across Europe since 2015 when large numbers of people sought sanctuary here.
Several years later, the number arriving is not so big, although more than a 1000 have died so far this year as they tried to cross the Mediterranean. But, with conflicts in Africa and Taliban rule in Afghanistan, most people predict that many more will try to come to Europe.
That’s not a question only Britons have asked themselves. What is left of the original dream of the EU’s founding fathers? And where is the EU going? Is the European Union still a Christian project and should it be?
READ MORECountless Evangelical churches and organisations across Europe are involved in welcoming and caring for asylum seekers and refugees. Some have done so for decades. Others have responded to more recent refugee arrivals. Here’s the story of just one great project.

READ MOREThe European Evangelical Alliance is really proud of the fantastic socio-political work done by many of our members. So we wanted to honour them by asking a few to give us a taste of what they have been doing.
READ MOREI was tempted to call this piece Observations from the Brussels’ Bubble, but the Brussels’ Bubble isn’t complete without abbreviations. Any document out of the BXL car exhaust comes with at least half a page of abbreviations and their explanation, just as a belittling gesture to those who don’t really belong in the BXL Bubble.
READ MOREThe Evangelical Alliance was originally created in London in 1846. A number of founding members were representing European countries. The European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) was founded in 1951. The EEA exists to foster unity and evangelical identity and provide a voice and platform to 23 million European evangelical Christians. The mission of the EEA is to CONNECT for com-mon purpose, EQUIP for integral mission and REPRESENT with a united voice. It is a grassroots movement from all Protestant traditions present in 36 European countries. The Brussels office of the EEA promotes active citizenship of its constituency and represents it to the European Institutions. The EEA is part of the World Evangelical Alliance (www.worldea.org)
