
Highlights from the Lausanne Europe Gathering in Cullera, Spain, from 16-19 October 2025
At the recent Lausanne Europe National Movements Gathering in Cullera, leaders from across the continent came together to explore what it means to collaborate, i.e. to listen, lead, belong, reconcile, work, be challenged and be sent—together. Several speakers gave powerful messages and testimonies.

What an incredible gathering it was! From October 8 to 12, 2025, the Hotel Rubin in Budapest buzzed with great joy and anticipation as 70 remarkable women from 22 countries converged for the Hope for Europe – Women in Leadership Conference. Ranging in age from 17 to 78, many meeting for the first time since previous events, these inspiring participants dove headfirst into the theme: “Growing in Courage and Competence.”

At the end of 2025, the English-language edition of the collective work “History of Pentecostalism in Ukraine” was published to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Movement of the Spirit. Amid the large-scale military confrontation provoked by Russian aggression, the book serves as a powerful reminder of God’s mighty work in Eastern Europe during the twentieth century.

On Thursday 16 October, a wave of prayer swept across the world, from Vanuatu to Vancouver. Along the way, around 2,000 participants in Europe were among almost 30,000 people from 135 countries and territories who united to intercede for God’s work in the world’s universities and colleges.

The Evangelical Alliance was originally created in London in 1846. A number of founding members were representing European countries. The European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) was founded in 1951. The EEA exists to foster unity and evangelical identity and provide a voice and platform to 23 million European evangelical Christians. The mission of the EEA is to CONNECT for com-mon purpose, EQUIP for integral mission and REPRESENT with a united voice. It is a grassroots movement from all Protestant traditions present in 36 European countries.
